1. Avoiding all types of fats, including the ‘good’ unsaturated fat
Fat is considered as something unhealthy, especially for those who want to lose weight. They think that they should avoid any fats. In fact, our body still needs fats to improve the body system.
There are many types of fat that are healthy for our body, such as the fat found in avocado, yoghurt, or coconut. If you avoid the ‘good’ unsaturated fat, it may increase the level of bad cholesterol in your body.
2. Eating too much bread
White bread, biscuit, and any kinds of cake are made of flour and other ingredients that may raise the cholesterol and risk of diabetes. That’s why we should not consume too much bread. If you want to eat some bread, choose the wheat bread that is high in fiber.
3. Eating too little fiber
If we have a bad eating habit, such as eating too little vegetables and fruits, we may increase the risk of high cholesterol. The fiber in fruits and vegetables is useful in absorbing the cholesterol in our body.
4. Eating too much meat
Meat is delicious, but do not eat too much meat. If we consume it daily, it will increase the cholesterol level in our body significantly.
5. Consuming too little calcium
Calcium can be obtained from milk, egg, and spinach. Low calcium intake will increase the cholesterol. Besides, calcium deficiency could make the bone less strong.
6. Drinking alcoholic beverages
Alcohol is unhealthy for our body. It may increase the risk of liver disease and cholesterol.
7. Lack of exercise
