Dressed as Santa, Indonesian Soldiers Deliver Presents to People at Timika

TIMIKA ,TIMESJAZIRAH – Several Santas were fallen from the sky on Mozes Kilangin Airport, Timika, Papua on Friday (29/11/2019). These Santa are the skydiver soldiers in costumes that will deliver some presents to the local community especially the kids.

They took off from the Hercules flight No. C-130. Dozens of colorful parachute were flown in the sky as one of the show of the Operational Readiness Training (Latihan Kesiapsiagaan Operasi (LKO)) which was held in Timika.

Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, the Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces said that the training was a joint training which was held regularly such as another same training held in Selaru, Morotai several time ago.

"The training was aimed to test the Operational Plan of all the joint forces to face the riot possibility in each area, this to check the readiness of the Kodam XVII/Cendrawasih, Kodam XVIII/Kasuari, Koarmada III and Koopsau III" The Commander said.

The skydiver from the army was also one of tactical forces from above. The soldiers which flew down in Santa costumes along with their presents bag was welcomed enthusiastically by the local community of Timika. (*)
